StatPilot ("the app") is developed for iOS and macOS. This policy explains what data the app collects and how it's handled.
StatPilot does not collect, store, transmit, or share any personal data. All calculations, simulations, and statistical demonstrations run entirely on your device. The app does not require an account, does not connect to any server, and does not include analytics, advertising, or third-party tracking SDKs of any kind.
The only information StatPilot saves is a single local flag on your device, used to remember whether you've completed the one-time welcome walkthrough. This is stored using Apple's standard on-device preferences storage (UserDefaults), never leaves your device, and is not linked to you personally in any way. It's deleted automatically if you uninstall the app.
Most datasets used throughout StatPilot are synthetic sample data bundled with the app. You can also import your own CSV file to run tests, models, and simulations on your own data instead of the built-in examples. When you do, the file is read and processed entirely on your device - StatPilot never uploads, transmits, or stores it anywhere outside the app's memory. The imported data is not saved to disk by the app and is cleared automatically when you close the app or replace it with a new file; you'll need to re-select the file if you want to use it again in a future session. No part of an imported file is ever sent off your device.
StatPilot does not use any third-party analytics, advertising, or crash-reporting services. No data is shared with any third party, because no data is collected in the first place.
StatPilot does not collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13. Because no data collection occurs, the app is safe for users of any age from a privacy standpoint.
If StatPilot's data practices change in the future (for example, if optional account features, in-app purchases, or analytics are introduced), this policy will be updated accordingly and the effective date above will change. Continued use of the app after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
